Forbes: Why Obamacare is unpopular with small business owners

http://www.forbes.com/sites/jimblasingame/2013/10/01/why-obamacare-is-unpopular-with-small-business-owners/

From the article:

When the Small Business and Entrepreneurship Council asked their members this question, “Will Obamacare make health insurance more affordable?,” 69% said no. In our online polls this year, 78% of small business owners think the law should be repealed, and 93% do not want to change from their current plan to Obamacare.

But Obama promised "If you like your plan, you can keep your plan."

Um, sure. We believe you, Mr. President. You also said that families' premiums would drop by $2,500. But now projections are that they will soar by more than $7,000.

How many promises has Obama broken already regarding his "Affordable" Care Act? It's no wonder business owners are wary of what Obama and Obamacare will do to them from this point forward. How much worse is it really going to get?

Obamacare fees, rules forcing hospitals to lay off employees

But don't take my word for it...

https://www.google.com/#q=hospital%20layoffs%20obamacare

Maybe I'm just an idiot since I'm not a government bureaucrat, but how is the forced layoff or retirement of tens of thousands of health care workers going to improve health care?

So Obamacare is the "law of the land"...well, so was slavery at one point, but that doesn't make it right

Defeatist Republicans (including Speaker of the House John Boehner and Arizona Sen. Jeff Flake, among others) have been saying that since Obamacare is now the law of the land, well, gee, what can they do to stop it? If Americans of all races had had this attitude in decades past instead of fighting immoral laws on the books, slavery (a la Dred Scott) and legalized discrimination (Plessy v. Ferguson) would still be "the law of the land."

Since Republicans in the Senate and some in the House as well are refusing to grow a pair and fight Obamacare's implementation, it's up to us. The number for the Capitol Hill switchboard is (202) 224-3121 and the number for the White House is (202) 456-1414. Give them a much-deserved earful.

Internet security firm McAfee: Beware of Obamacare phishing scams

The sharks are circling, waiting for people to share boatloads of personal financial and medical data on fake websites. If you buck the system in the first place and refuse to comply with Obamacare--and mass defiance will make the program crash and burn, as it should--your data will be much more inaccessible to scammers.

Government control over health care: How HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius almost killed a 10-year-old girl

Some of you may remember the story of Sarah Murnaghan, a 10-year-old girl with cystic fibrosis who was considered by her doctors to be a good prospect for a lung transplant from an adult. But current federal law arbitrarily sets 12 as the minimum age at which a child may receive organ transplants from adults, no matter what doctors say. If a federal judge hadn't intervened and ordered that Murnaghan be put on the adult transplant list, she'd likely be dead now. Here's a story from back in June:

http://washingtonexaminer.com/sebelius-wont-waive-regulation-for-girl-with-five-weeks-to-live-someone-lives-and-someone-dies/article/2531097

And thankfully, a federal judge intervened and in effect saved the life of this young girl, who is now recovering from a lung transplant:

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/jun/6/judge-orders-kathleen-sebelius-add-10-year-old-adu/

Are you going to sit by without protest and let this sort of thing take over our health care system, bringing death and misery upon thousands, maybe more, just so everyone has the "right" to health insurance?

"Please, pretty please Mrs. Bureaucrat, let my daughter live!!" Why should decisions of life or death be up to government bureaucrats instead of medical professionals? What do government bureaucrats know about medical care and how to improve people's lives?

What if Sarah Murnaghan was your daughter? She very well could be.

Conservatives sue to enforce Obamacare employer mandate

...because the temporary but imperial occupant of the White House does not have the authority to unilaterally change laws without Congressional approval, granting businesses a one-year reprieve while requiring individuals to purchase insurance now:

http://freebeacon.com/conservatives-sue-to-enforce-obamacare-employer-mandate/

And if Obamacare is going to be such a great thing, why is Obama trying to delay it for a year? If it's because businesses can't afford to take the economic hit right now, since the economy is still allegedly recovering, isn't that delay an implicit admission that Obamacare is a bad thing for the country? After all, what good is an entitlement program if businesses--who employee a couple hundred million people and whose taxes keep the government funded--can't afford those government mandates?

Obamacare "navigators" warned not to leave enrollees' tax info on fax machine--are they really that stupid?

See this:

http://www.theyeshivaworld.com/news/General+News/190080/ObamaCare-Navigators-Warned%3A-Don%E2%80%99t-Leave-Tax-Returns-on-the-Fax-Machine-.html

And if they ARE so stupid that they need a reminder not to leave people's sensitive info where it can be accessed (or stolen) by unauthorized individuals, should you trust them with your personal information at all? And if you can't trust them to keep your personal info private and secure, should you obey them and sacrifice your own privacy, security and well-being just because they say so? Or is it time to push back and say no?

Obamacare signup sites crashing this morning because of web traffic...can't wait until these crowds wait for a doctor

Just saw this...

http://twitchy.com/2013/10/01/surprise-obamacare-health-insurance-exchange-websites-dont-work/

Website crashes from virtual traffic are one thing, but can you imagine the lines of actual people--likely millions more across the country--waiting to see a doctor because the government now mandates that doctors offer more services for less or no money? Meanwhile, more and more doctors are talking about retirement rather than working under Obamacare's rules and restrictions:

http://www.forbes.com/sites/sallypipes/2013/06/10/thanks-to-obamacare-a-20000-doctor-shortage-is-set-to-quintuple/

This won't be pretty, and it's going to get a lot worse.

Is this what Obama promised us? Are you going to just sit by and let this happen?

Do you like your new health-care options under Obamacare?

Bookmark Unaffordable.org and please tell others about this site!

As of Oct. 1, most Americans will be required to purchase government-approved health insurance plans or pay steadily increasing fines. Suffice to say that under new government rules and regulations, you will likely be getting less care from fewer doctors for more money, your insurance companies will drop or severely curtail plans they previously offered, businesses will be laying off employees and not hiring new employees because of the increased cost of government mandates, and Americans left without insurance options because of this new mandate will be forced into government-run exchanges that probably won't offer them the care they're expecting or needing.

This site is dedicated to your stories--what coverage are you losing, what jobs are you losing and how much more money are you having to pay for health care coverage because of this heavy-handed, top-down mandate from Washington?

I'll also gladly publish stories of any positive developments that might arise through Obamacare...but I'm guessing there won't be many, because someone has to pay for what Obama is promising, and government promises only go so far when a government is $17 TRILLION in debt.

I'll publish all submissions to this blog, although I reserve the right to edit them for the sake of keeping this site PG-13.

So fire away. What is Obamacare doing to your life, your job, your money, your family?
